Julia Garner And Jessica Henwick team up for a spooky new thriller.
On Thursday, Neon released a trailer for its new thriller The Royal HotelIn it, Garner, 29, and Henwick, 31, play two Americans who travel around Australia and work in a bar to make more money.
The trailer meets the two characters Hanna and Liv as they apply for a job and arrive at the bar of the Royal Hotel in a remote Australian town owned by Billy (Hugo weaving). Hanna and Liv initially decide to work at the bar temporarily until they earn enough money to travel elsewhere, but they quickly become uncomfortable with many of the patrons making sexually charged comments towards them.

An official synopsis for the film describes Hanna and Liv as two “best friends backpacking in Australia” who quickly lose their money.
“Liv, looking for an adventure, convinces Hanna to take a temporary job behind the bar at a pub called The Royal Hotel in a remote outback mining town,” the synopsis reads.

“Bar owner Billy and a cast of locals give the girls a rollicking introduction to the drinking culture Down Under, but soon Hanna and Liv find themselves in a troubling situation that quickly takes control away from them,” the synopsis reads.

The new film comes from Australian filmmaker Kitty Green, with whom she has previously worked ozark Star Garner in her 2019 film The assistant. Green cow red The Royal HotelScreenplay with screenwriter and actor Oscar Redding.
