Kate Beckinsale wears sheer Georges Chakra gown at amfAR Gala 2023 – WWD

Kate Beckinsale appeared in shimmering gold at the amfAR Gala Venezia 2023 in Venice during the Venice International Film Festival on Sunday and radiated in a couture gown by Georges Chakra.

The English actress, who served as co-chair of this year’s event, wore a gold high neck bodysuit with a draped sheer black mesh kaftan and decorative gold foil tassels.

The dress was from the designer’s Fall 2024 couture collection. “Chakra uses this collection to embark on a journey of self-expression and collective evolution, utilizing gold as the guiding alchemical force to redefine notions of beauty and power and provoke self-reflection,” the official reads Georges Chakra’s website.

In jewelry, Beckinsale shone in 118.45-carat earrings and a 47.55-carat Chopard ring. The actress already wore the noble jewelry brand in May at the Cannes Film Festival 2023.

Presented by Mastercard and the Red Sea International Film Festival, the amfAR Gala Venezia 2023 was an elegant gala raising funds for AIDS research. Also that night, Ava DuVernay was honored with the Award of Inspiration, along with performances by Rita Ora and Leona Lewis.

The 80th annual Venice International Film Festival takes place from August 30th to September 9th in Lido, a barrier island in the Venice Lagoon. Organized by the Venice Biennale and directed by Alberto Barbera, the festival is officially recognized by the International Federation of Film Producers Association.
