Kelsea Ballerini Is In A Much Better Place After Divorce Despite Morgan Evans Drama: Source

Kelsea Ballerini is on the mend.

Months after her divorce from her compatriot Morgan EvansThe Subject to change The singer is “exactly where she wants to be,” a source told PEOPLE in this week’s issue. “She’s dating but doesn’t feel any pressure to mean it [with someone].”

Ballerini is in a “much better place now,” the source adds, as the divorce is “terrible for her” and she is “very upset.”

Last month Ballerini, 29, opened the Call her daddy Podcast about Evans, 37, splitting up during their marriage and the pressures of having kids.

“She feels too young to have a family,” says the source. “There are things she wants to achieve first. She loves work and is not willing to take a break. She knows she will meet ‘the one’ when the time comes.”

Ballerini is new dating Outer Banks Stern Chase Stokes – who she was first linked to in January — but the romance is still casual.

“She’s having fun with him. They support each other in their careers. She’s touring now and he’s been to some of her shows. Otherwise, they see each other in LA where Chase lives,” the source says.

On March 6th, Ballerini will embark on another round of North American tour dates for her Heartfirst Tour. But before she hits the road again, the country music star is sharing her debut as a musical guest Saturday night live on March 4th.

The docuseries comes after Ballerini released an EP and accompanying short film titled Roll up the welcome mat where she described the reasons for her divorce.
