Ketamine worth over €300,000 found in luggage at Dublin Airport

Around 5.5 kilograms of the illegal drug were discovered during a search of the luggage on a flight to the USA.

According to Revenue, the seizure was “part of an intelligence operation.”

The investigation is still ongoing, it said.

“This seizure is part of the tax office’s ongoing operations targeting the importation of illegal drugs,” a tax office spokesman said in a statement.

“If businesses or members of the public have any information about smuggling they can contact the Revenue Department confidentially on 1800 295 295.”
