Lake St. Louis woman dies in Lincoln County accident

LINCOLN COUNTY, Missouri — A Lake St. Louis woman died in an accident in Lincoln County early Wednesday morning. Saraya Sanders, 22, was pronounced dead by paramedics at 2:13 a.m. after her vehicle was found in a creek bed.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, Sanders was traveling southbound on Route 47 north of Lindsay Road at approximately 11:40 p.m. She crossed the middle of the street, overcorrected and hit a guardrail, sending her Nissan Altima into the air.

The vehicle landed upside down in a stream. First responders were called to the scene and eventually pronounced Sanders dead.
