Liam Payne is postponing his upcoming tour of South America after being hospitalized last week. “That’s really the last bit of news I want to share with you guys but basically I’ve been a little unwell lately and ended up in the hospital with a bad kidney infection,” the former One Direction member explained in one Instagram video. “We’ve started rehearsals and I’ve just been told that now really isn’t the time to go on tour and recover from it.” Payne, who debuted as a solo artist LP1 in 2019, this year hinted that he is working on a new album. His six-stop South American tour was scheduled to begin in Peru on September 1st and end in Mexico City on September 12th. The “Strip That Down” singer apologized to fans and said he hopes to reschedule “an even bigger and better concert show” soon. According to his Instagram caption, those who have already purchased tickets will receive a refund and should wait for updates from the outlet.
