Man, 30, seriously injured in shocking attack outside popular Dublin Park

Gardaí are investigating a serious assault that took place outside Corkagh Park in Clondalkin, Dublin 22, on Monday night.
A man in his early 30s was seriously injured in the attack near the Cherrywood entrance to the park around 7:30 p.m.
The man was taken to Tallaght University Hospital for treatment of his serious injuries.
Gardaí are asking any witnesses to this incident to come forward. Gardaí knows in particular that several people came to the rescue of the injured person.
“Anyone who was out and about in the area of Corkagh Park, Clondalkin between 7pm and 8pm and has video camera footage (including dash cam) from that area at the time is asked to provide this Gardaí,” a spokesman said .
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Clondalkin Garda Station on 01 666 7600, Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.”
Gardai added that the investigation is ongoing.
