Man arrested for murder of Indiana man at Hotel Downtown St. Louis

ST. LOUIS — Police have arrested a man who shot and killed an Indiana man at a hotel in downtown St. Louis last weekend.
Prosecutors have charged 20-year-old Arthur Ross Jr. with first-degree murder and armed crime as part of the investigation.
The shooting happened around 2:30 p.m. Sunday at America’s Best Value Inn on the 1100 block of Lumiere Place. When police arrived at the scene, they found the victim lying in a stairwell after being shot in the chest.
The victim, 27-year-old Kevin Anderson of Indianapolis, Indiana, was taken to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries. Investigators believe the shooting happened after a confrontation between Anderson and Ross, although it’s unclear exactly what prompted it.
According to Missouri court records, Ross is being held without bail in St. Louis City.
