Man dead, woman hospitalized after car crash while running from police in Kendall – NBC 6 South Florida
A man is dead and a woman is in critical condition after they were in a car crash while fleeing police early Wednesday morning.
According to Miami-Dade police, officers attempted to stop a car around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, but it took off.
The vehicle eventually crashed at SW 56th Street and SW 117th Avenue in Kendall, police said.
At this time, police have closed SW 56th Street in both directions from SW 117th Avenue to 118th Avenue to conduct their investigation.
The Miami-Dade Fire Department later responded to the accident and determined the driver was dead at the scene.
The woman who was a passenger was transported by MDFR to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital in critical condition.
