Man stuck on plane wing after Everglades crash – WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports

SOUTHWEST BROWARD, Fla. (WSVN) – Authorities responded to the scene of a plane accident in the Everglades near Southwest Broward County on Tuesday.

At around 10:30 a.m., live video footage showed a man with an apparent leg injury on the damaged wing of a single-engine Cessna aircraft that had sunk into swampy terrain. The crash site appeared to be 17 miles southwest of North Perry Airport.

According to FlightAware.com, the plane took off from Okeechobee County Airport at 3 a.m. and is believed to have crashed about an hour later.

Airboats and rescue workers were dispatched to the man’s location.
