Manhunt campaigns for the Pennsylvania fugitive

HISTORY: Danelo Cavalcante, originally from Brazil, escaped from the Chester County Jail on Thursday (Aug. 31). Several reported sightings are believed to locate the escapee in a wooded rural area about 2 miles from the prison.
Cavalcante was convicted of murdering his former girlfriend. He was sentenced to life imprisonment. Pennsylvania State Police Lt. Col. George Bevins warned that the fugitive is considered dangerous.
Authorities have advised residents to watch out for vacant lots where Cavalcante could be hiding and to contact police if they search empty homes.
