Megyn Kelly is facing backlash after claiming that Michelle Obama “doesn’t like America” while discussing the former first lady’s possibility of running for president in 2024
Media personality Megyn Kelly claimed that Michelle Obama “doesn’t like America” while providing op-ed on a Newsmax show on some recent reports that the former first lady would be a top contender if she succeeds Joe Biden in 2024 would run for the presidency.
Kelly made the comments during an appearance on the nightly cable show Eric Bolling The Balance, after Bolling questioned her about a Washington Times article reporting that some Democrats said Obama had the “it factor,” President to become.

Kelly then begins a weak character analysis to back up her claim by discussing Obama’s reluctance to wear curly hair during her time as first lady because of racism. She also cites Drops Oprah Winfrey to back up that claim, saying that thanks to American backing of her TV show, Winfrey became a media giant and she wore her hair “how the hell she wanted.”
“This woman has no faith in the goodness of Americans, at least not when they have the lowercase (R) after their name as opposed to the lowercase (D),” Kelly said, claiming that Obama prioritizes political affiliations in order to understand how she is supported.
Kelly’s comments, like many of her statements, drew criticism from social media users and landed them in trouble.
“Your opinion is worthless,” commented another.
Another user said of Kelly that she “plays by the absolute lowest common denominator”.
“Fired from NBC for racism. Still at it. Disgusting,” said another.
Kelly was fired from her morning show post on NBC News after making a shaky transition from Fox News for implying it’s okay for white people to wear blackface on Halloween.
She has since launched her own show, The Megyn Kelly Show, which airs live daily on SiriusXM. She has also made a few guest appearances on some conservative-leaning cable news shows.
