Michael B. Jordan Diet: Training Plan ‘Creed’, ‘Black Panther’ Cheat Day

The best in the business. Believe is a film dedicated and a tribute to all boxing and film fans of all generations, and if you’ve seen any of them you may be wondering how Michael B. Jordan eats.
Believe follows the story of Rocky Balboa’s nemesis, Apollo Creed’s illegitimate son Adonis Johnson, on his journey to becoming a famous boxer like his father. The first two Believe Movies earned $173.6 million. After Michael B. Jordan starred Believe, He has received awards from the African-American Film Critics Association, the Boston Online Film Critics Association, the Black Reel Awards, and the National Society of Film Critics. Newark Mayor Ras Baraka presented Michael with a key to the city.
Jordan turned to direct and star in the third film. “Directing has always been a desire, but the timing had to be right. Creed III is that moment – a time in my life where I have become more confident in who I am, empowered to take action in my own story, matured personally, grown professionally and learned from the likes of Ryan Coogler, most recently Denzel Washington and others I have top directors that I respect,” he said in a statement to Deadline. “All of this sets the table for this moment. This franchise and in particular the themes of Creed III are deeply personal to me. I look forward to sharing the next chapter of Adonis Creed’s story with the awesome responsibility of being its director and namesake.”
Well if you’ve seen Believe, you may be wondering how Adonis Creed gets THIS body? “Extreme dietary changes,” Jordan said on Good Morning America. “I completely shut down my diet. Grilled chicken, brown rice, broccoli, lots of water. I exercised two to three times a day, six days a week. And if you do that consistently for about 10 months, your body will change.” Read below to see Michael B. Jordan’s diet and exercise plan.

What is Michael B. Jordan’s workout routine? Well, thanks to Michael B. Jordan’s longtime coach, we have an answer. In an interview with Insider, his trainer Corey Calliet gave all the details. “Have you ever heard of food on the go? Well, we trained along the way,” Calliet said of Michael B. Jordan’s regimen, meanwhile Creed III. “We had to train in small increments throughout the day because we couldn’t get full sessions.” He also trained with co-star Jonathan Majors. “The competitive urge to be better than the other helped both men work harder,” Calliet said.
Her workout is similar to what Calliet performed for Men’s Journal for the first installment. Here’s what Michael B. Jordan’s workout included.
CARDIO
For 45 to 60 minutes daily: interval training, sprint training, plyometric exercises and speed rope.
ABS SERIES
Every other day, do 3 sets of 25 reps of each movement:
crunches Lie on the floor with your knees bent, feet flat, hands behind your head; crunch your torso up so your shoulder blades are off the floor, pause and slowly lower yourself back down.
Lift a leg Lie on the floor with your legs stretched out; with legs taped together and straight, raise legs perpendicular to the floor, then slowly lower them to a few inches off the floor.
Reverse Crunches Lie on the floor with your legs stretched out, feet hovering a few inches off the floor; Pull your knees to your chest, pause, and lower your back to begin with feet off the ground.
toe touch Lie on the floor with your legs stretched out, arms at your sides. Raise your legs perpendicular to the floor and lift your torso off the floor to reach your arms to touch your toes; slowly lower your back to begin.
Traditional sit ups Lie on the floor with your knees bent, feet flat, hands behind your head; tighten your abs and raise your torso until you are fully upright; slowly lower your back to begin.
Reverse Crunches Lie on the floor with your legs stretched out, feet hovering a few inches off the floor; Pull your knees to your chest, pause, and lower your back to begin with feet off the ground.

Dumbbell Curls
Do 4 sets of 15 dumbbell curls, resting 30 seconds between sets.
Hammer curls
Do 3 sets of 12 hammer curls, resting 30 seconds between sets.
Kickback and dip superset
Alternate dumbbell kickbacks and dips on the bench for a total of four rounds. Do 15 kickbacks with dumbbells, then immediately do 20 dips on the bench. Rest 15 to 30 seconds between rounds.
box series
Box or bench step ups 20 per leg
Box jumps or jumping over a step 20 repetitions
Side step-ups on a box or bench 20 per leg
jump squats 20 repetitions
burpees 15 repetitions
Push-ups on the bench 25 repetitions
BOX TRAINING
Each training day ends with 3 hours of boxing:
Heavy bag
speed bag
Beat the mittens
Skipping rope

What is Michael B. Jordan’s diet? Whenever he makes one Believe film, he is on a very strict diet. Although Calliet said he’s giving Jordan a cheat day begins at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday and ends at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday. “I don’t know if anyone’s ever eaten as many cheesesteaks as I’ve seen Mike eat,” laughs Calliet. He told Insider, “I think if you’re trying to look a certain way, the easy diet, the bodybuilding diet, is the stuff that works.” Jordan also supplemented his diet with BCAAs, protein powder, glutamine ( to aid in recovery) and a multivitamin, Calliet said.
