Michelle Obama’s jab on Donald Trump has failed Jimmy Fallon

Michelle Obama – who appeared on The Tonight Show on Wednesday – berated Donald Trump for breaking with the president’s tradition of inviting immediate predecessors back to the White House to unveil their official portraits.
Host Jimmy Fallon noted that the former First Lady had recently returned to the White House for the first time since her husband, former President Barack Obama, left office in January 2017.
“NO. Wasn’t invited,” Obama replied dryly.
“Oooh, Shade,” she then joked.
The audience licked the booth and Fallon burst out laughing.

The Obamas made theirs first joint return in September for unveiling her official portraits, an experience she called “beautiful.”
“It’s a tradition,” she explained. “You make your official portraits, the next president should invite you to hang them again. We were never invited back, so these images have been around for a long, long time.”
“It’s also a time for employees to come back, remember and be together,” she added. “It’s a ritual.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Obama dismissed the “bad” cocktails made by daughters Sasha and Malia and recalled what happened when her husband became the unofficial coach of their fourth-grade basketball team.
