Mike Johnson admits in Resurfaced Video that he and his son monitor each other’s porn consumption

Spokesman of the House Mike Johnson admitted in a resurfaced 2022 clip that he and his son monitored each other’s porn consumption.

During a conversation about the “War on Technology” at Cypress Baptist Church in Benton, Louisiana – unearthed by X user Receipt Maven Last week, the Louisiana representative talked about how he installed so-called “accountability software.” Covenant Eyes on its devices to avoid internet porn and other objectionable websites.

“It scans all the activity on your phone or your devices, your laptop, whatever you have; “We do everything,” Johnson told the panel about the app.

“It sends a report to your accountability partner. My accountability partner currently is Jack, my son. He’s 17. So once a week he and I get a report on everything that’s on our phones and all of our devices. If something illegal comes up, your responsible partner will receive an immediate notification. I’m proud to tell you that my son has a clean slate.”

Aside from the creepy Big Brother vibe, Receipt Maven also expressed concerns about whether Covenant Eyes – a still-operational subscription-based service – could “compromise” Johnson’s devices if he’s still actively seeking accountability.

“A US congressman is allowing a third-party technology company to scan ALL of his electronic devices daily and then upload reports to his son about what he sees or doesn’t see…” wrote Receipt Maven. “I mean, who else is accessing this data?”

Since being elected Speaker of the House of Representatives in October, Johnson’s history as a faith-obsessed, Election denial, right-wing extremist Christian nationalist has been examined by his time with the anti-LBGTQ organization Alliance Defending Freedom to his claim that School shootings could be attributed to abortion and the advancement of education.

In an interview Sunday morning on Fox News, Johnson was asked about his past regarding abortion, including claims that he is against contraception and IVF treatment. “I am pro-life. “I have made it very clear that I am a Bible-believing Christian and believe in the sanctity of every single human life,” Johnson said, but added, “I have not suggested any measures to address any of these issues.” However, he did not deny that he would vote against contraception in due course.
