‘Nip/Tuck’ Star AnnaLynne McCord Portrays Mass Shooting Suspect in Crime Drama ‘Condition of Return’ – WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports

You know the old saying: Be careful what you wish for? Have you ever wondered if we should be careful? Now that you’ve taken a look at Condition of Return, you might want to think long and hard about what you’re willing to give up to get what you want.

Character in “Condition of Return”: “This is often the greeting we hear before mass. She comes from – uh…”

AnnaLynne McCord from “Nip/Tuck” goes from Christ-loving woman to horrific crime in “Condition of Return.”

Dean Cain (as Dr. Donald Thomas): “Mike Staffer called.”

Farah White (as Faye Thomas): “Is this about the church shooting?”

Larry S. White (as Agent Molcheck): “What makes a person do something like that?”

Even though the case seems clear and obvious, there are even more layers to her character Eve’s story.

AnnaLynne McCord: “The symbolism is rich and I really liked that. That was actually one of the reasons I fell in love with the film itself. The initial reaction to Scene 1, which was the mass shooting scene, was kind of a separate part of what the film then offers.”

Former TV Superman Dean Cain is on board. He plays a psychiatrist who wants to find out if she can stand trial.

Dean Cain (as Dr. Donald Thomas): “You said in your statement, ‘The devil forced you to do this.’ Would you like to elaborate?”

To get through the dark film, AnnaLynne took some unique steps on set.

AnnaLynne McCord: “At one point I brought Sage on set and I was like, ‘Everybody listen.’ I’m sorry, we’re doing some crazy things today. I’m going to summon some interesting energies. You all get angry if you want.’ I wanted someone who experienced that, someone who suffered loss in a mass shooting, to feel like we made this film so that we could talk about this film in a way that they were comfortable with and agreed with is.”
