North Miami Beach police are investigating an armed theft car early Tuesday morning in which officers opened fire during their pursuit, officials said.
Police confirmed to NBC6 that there are multiple active scenes in North Miami Beach and Sunny Isles Beach.
A video posted by Only in Dade shows a heavy police presence as officers led one of the suspects to the patrol cars. The video also showed that the person who took the picture was awakened by the gunfire.
Two scenes in Sunny Isles Beach have been cleared – police presence just before Westbound Ramp 826 and another at the Sands Point Condominium.
Officers said they have two suspects in custody and are not looking for anyone else at this time.
According to the North Miami Beach Police Department, no one was injured in the shooting and there are no current dangers to the community.
