Nuggets star Jamal Murray is reportedly out until the end of November with a hamstring strain

The defending champion Denver Nuggets are expected to be without Jamal Murray until at least the end of November due to a right hamstring strain ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Murray’s timetable for return is allegedly three to four weeks, proceeding carefully with the nuggets. He suffered the injury in a game against the Chicago Bulls on Saturday and left with a reported hamstring strain.
The situation became even more serious when Murray missed a game against the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday, particularly when Nuggets head coach Michael Malone told reporters that the guard would be out.longer than we would like.”
That schedule was set on Wednesday. An early December return would mean he would miss 11 games, although the Nuggets also play two straight games on December 1 and 2, then the regular-season tournament knockout games scheduled through December 11 are.
The injury interrupts a great start for the Nuggets, who showed no championship hangover with a 7-1 record on Wednesday. Murray was once again instrumental in this success, as he averaged a career-high 7.4 in assists and shot a career-high 43.8% from 3-point range in seven games played.
With Murray sidelined, the Nuggets started veteran Reggie Jackson in his place against the Pelicans and will likely continue to do so. Rookies Julian Strawther and Collin Gillespie also set career-highs in minutes on Monday and could help cover Murray’s minutes.
Murray was an absolute star in last year’s playoffs, although Nikola Jokic deservedly got most of the spotlight. In 20 postseason games, Murray averaged 26.1 points, 7.1 assists, 5.7 rebounds and 1.5 steals while shooting 47.3% from distance (39.6% from distance).
