Odell Beckham Jr. is seeking such a free-hand contract

OBJ is targeting that type of salary in the NFL Free Agency, according to a report originally appearing on NBC Sports Boston
Odell Beckham Jr. is hoping to resume his career during the 2023 NFL season and is reportedly looking for another big payday in the process.
ProFootballTalk’s Mike Florio reported Saturday that the 30-year-old wide receiver is still seeking a $20 million-a-year contract in free agency. The free agent market opens on March 15th.

Beckham last played for the Los Angeles Rams in the 2021 season and tore his ACL in the first half of LA’s win over the Cincinnati Bengals at Super Bowl LVI. He didn’t play at all in the 2022 season.
Beckham could still be a prolific player in the right situation, but it wouldn’t be wise for any team to bet $20 million a season on it. The first-round pick of 2014 last surpassed 1,000 yards in 2019. He has missed 29 games in the last three seasons.
The veteran wideout held a private practice for teams in Arizona on Friday. The New England Patriots were among the teams presentaccording to CBS Sports’ Jonathan Jones.
