OJ Simpson has been cleared of the murders of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her boyfriend, Ronald Goldman. His 1994 trial was often called the “trial of the century” because at the time it was considered the most publicized trial in history – you probably remember his pursuit by the Ford Bronco police force of more than 95 years Millions of people watched it live on TV.

“I saw him take a stand,” Simpson said of Murdaugh in his tweet. “I thought it was probably a mistake because the guy is an admitted liar.”

Alex Murdaugh is accused of killing his wife Maggie and youngest son Paul to cover up or distract investigators from his admitted financial crimes.

Simpson said he believes Murdaugh took the stand to tell a juror or two that he was a “good ol’ boy” and admits that “lying and stealing is different from murder.”

The former soccer star continued, “I’m not qualified to really say whether the guy did it or not,” before adding, “From what I’ve seen, I think it’s more likely that he did.” has ? Yes. But more likely corresponds to a reasonable doubt. So, as far as I know, I have to say that there are many legitimate doubts.”

Simpson says he’s confident Murdaugh will eventually go to jail for all the financial crimes he admitted on the witness stand, but on the murder charges, “I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if he beats that. I’m just saying.”

In an interesting turn of events, Simpson said, “I think he should be investigated more because of the death of his housekeeper a few years ago, which ended up with over $4 million in insurance money. I think they should take a close look at that.”
