Pedestrian struck and killed on I-270 in northern St. Louis County

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – An investigation is underway after a pedestrian was fatally struck on Interstate 270 in northern St. Louis County Friday evening.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the collision occurred on 270 near North Florissant Road.

Emergency responders and Florissant police are currently on scene. Traffic in both directions on I-270 was slowed but not stopped.

A Missouri State Highway Patrol accident reconstruction team also responded to the scene. It is currently unclear what led to the collision.
