Person of interest wanted in Ferguson murder

FERGUSON, Mo. – Ferguson Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a person of interest in a recent murder case.
Police released new surveillance video Thursday that captures a person involved in the investigation. The video shows a person of interest parking an SUV at a BP gas station and exiting the vehicle.
Investigators say a man was found fatally shot inside a vehicle near the intersection of South Florissant and Woodstock streets around 10:30 p.m. Monday. Preliminary findings indicate that the victim was shot by an unknown assailant.
“We are committed to conducting a thorough investigation into this tragic incident. Our thoughts are with the victim’s family at this difficult time. We use all available resources and work with the community to bring the perpetrator to justice. I urge anyone with information to come forward,” said Ferguson Police Chief Troy Doyle.
Police had not announced any arrests or charges in the case as of Thursday.
