Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: What you need to know about the Unrivaled Charizard Tera Raid
This event will be the first seven star tera raid introduced in Scarlet and Violet.
The raid includes a Charizard that will be of the Dragon Tera type.

You must have completed the main story and also the Ace Academy post-game tournament at least once.
If you don’t know how to unlock the tournament, our post-game guide will fill you in on all the details.
You also need to host a number for five star raids and win until Jacq calls you to tell you that you can now join six star raids.
This is going to be a very difficult raid, and you’ll likely need Switch Online to complete it with a whole group of players.
Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: How to Beat the Seven Star Charizard Raid
Firstly, if you haven’t already, it’s important to read our guide on how to beat difficult raids, as this will give you the basic knowledge you need to beat this one.
The key thing here is to remember that Charizard will be a pure Dragon-type, meaning it’s only weak to Dragon, Fairy, and Ice-type attacks.
We should also consider what moves the Charizard is likely to have.
Since they often carry moves of their usual type, they might have Fire-type moves like Fire Blast or Flying-type moves like Hurricane.
It will also likely have a Dragon-type attack like Outrage, making other Dragon-types a difficult choice.
Fairy-types will be your go-to here, and physically attacking is slightly better than special.
Sylveon, Gardevoir, or Flutter Mane are all good choices, with something like Choice Specs and Dazzling Gleam.
Optionally, you could run Clear Amulet and perform attacks like Fake Tears or Nasty Plot that lower stats.
Since Charizard is a special attacker, this Pokemon’s bulky special defense will come in very handy.
Another option would be to use Azumarill or Scream Tail as a physical attacker or support.
Scream Tail has an amazing special bulk to work well as a support Pokemon.
Huge Power for Double Attack is a choice performed with Belly Drum. His other ability, Big Fat, protects against Charizard’s Fire-type attacks.
As a physical attacker, Play Rough is the go-to move here, with the usual support options like Helping Hand, Fake Tears, and Amnesia.
With the Big Fat option, you could use Amnesia to increase your Special Defense before using Helping Hand to boost your teammates’ Attack.
