Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: How To Breed Pokemon

There have been some changes to the way Pokemon breeding works in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
The daycare is gone and instead there is a new method.
Pokemon Breeding is a staple of the games to create a team with good IVs and better natures and increase your chance of catching Shiny Pokemon.
Here’s how breeding works and tips for tricks for different types of Eggs in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: How to Catch a Ditto to Breed Easily
Ditto has long been a staple of Pokémon breeding due to its ability to breed with any other Pokémon.
Usually the species depends on the female, but you can only get a Ditto by breeding two of them.

They can be found in areas two and three in the Western Province, but they will be disguised as other Pokémon.
If you see a random Pokemon wandering off on its own, encounter it to maybe find one.
Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: how to breed at Picnic
They craft Eggs at Picnics, which can be set up in any non-city area.
If you have two compatible Pokemon in your party, Eggs will slowly appear in your basket over time.
The basket can hold up to ten eggs, and you can choose to fetch them or throw them away.
Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: Which Food Makes Eggs Faster?
Eating is a big part of the new Pokemon game, and eating different foods will give you a boost for 30 minutes.
One of these is called Egg Power, which increases the frequency with which Pokémon create Eggs.
In our experience, Egg Power 2 manages 10 eggs in about five minutes. If you collect them all, they will start laying again.
Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: Does Flaming Body Hatch Eggs Faster?
Contrary to what many initially thought, having a Flame-bodied Pokemon on your team will result in Pokemon hatching faster.
In fact, it only takes half the time. Coalossal can have this ability, or Fletchlings Evolution Fletchinder, which can be caught in the first area.
Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: Does the Masuda Method Work?
The Masuda method, where you breed a strange Pokemon with yours, is still the most reliable way to find a Shiny Pokemon.
There is a community Ditto by Ditto trading system. Go to Link Trade and have your Ditto ready before entering 4448 8444 as your code.

Pokémon Scarlet & Violet: Items for competitive breeding
Delibird Presents sells certain items that can help increase your Pokémon’s stats through breeding.
When the parent holds any of these items, the baby’s status changes. Destiny Knot is the obvious one, passing on five IVs.
Next come the Power Items. These items guarantee that one of a parent’s IVs will be transferred depending on which item you use:
- Power-to-weight ratio – HP IV
- Power Bracer – Attack IV
- Belt of Power – Defense IV
- Power Lens – Special Attack IV
- Power Band – Special Defense IV
- Power Anklet – Speed IV
Last but not least is the Everstone.
If a parent keeps this when breeding, it is guaranteed that the offspring will have the same nature as that parent.
