Police arrest man accused of sexually abusing victims at off-campus apartment complex near University of Pennsylvania – NBC10 Philadelphia

Philadelphia police have arrested a man They say he sexually assaulted a victim while armed with a knife outside an apartment complex near the University of Pennsylvania in University City earlier this month.
Ticquarn Thomas, 21, of Philadelphia, was arrested Wednesday and charged with rape, wrongful restraint, sexual assault, making terrorist threats, indecent exposure and other related offenses.
The incident happened around 1:50 a.m. on May 2 outside Hamilton Court on the 3800 block of Chestnut Street, police said. According to investigators, the victim was taking out the trash when Thomas, who was armed with a knife, approached her and sexually abused her.
Penn students received an alert about what was initially labeled as attempted sexual assault. After Thomas was arrested, the Philadelphia Police Department said the incident was a sexual assault.
