Remembering the late Lance Reddick and Annie Wersching in Bosch: Legacy Premiere

Freevees Bosch: Legacy opened Season 2 this week with a simple title card dedicated to the episode “In Loving Memory of Our Friends ANNIE WERSCHING and LANCE REDDICK,” two alumni of the original Bosch series, both of which died earlier this year.

Wersching, in which he played the role of Officer Julia Brasher Bosch (as a series regular in Season 1, then as a recurring guest star) died on January 29 of this year, while Reddick, who played Police Chief Irvin Irving in all seven seasons Boschdied on March 17th.
It is noteworthy that Reddick later slips back into his role as Irving Bosch: Legacy Season 2 marks his debut on the Freevee offshoot.
“[O]One of the greatest gifts we had was bring [Lance] back for another scene“executive producer Tom Bernardo told TVInsider. “We had this devastating news, but we still have this last moment together. We are grateful for that.”
Wersching died at the age of 45 as a result of a cancer diagnosis in 2020. Her other TV appearances included 24, runaway, Timeless, Castle, revolution, angels, The Vampire Diaries And Frasieramong other things – and she had recurring roles in both series until her death Star Trek: Picard And The beginner.
In addition, Wersching provided the voice/performance for Tess in the video game The last of uswhich was adapted into a hit HBO TV series.
Reddick, best known for his role as Lieutenant Cedric Daniels The cable and General Phillip Broyles continued Edge areaHe died at the age of 60 during the press tour for John Wick: Chapter 4, in which he reprized his role as Continental Hotel concierge Charon. (The actor’s family has disputed “heart disease” as the cause of death.) Reddick recently played a supporting role on “Showtime.” The Caine Mutiny Court Martial film and can also be seen as Zeus in the upcoming Disney+ film Percy Jackson and the Olympians TV series.
