Robert De Niro stars in the limited series Zero Day for Netflix

Not much is known about this zero day For now, just that the series will be a political thriller starring Robert De Niro as a former US President. Eric Newman (narcotics) and Noah Oppenheim (jackie) are writing and producing the series, with a story by Newman, Oppenheim and Michael Schmidt. Although this would be Robert De Niro’s first regular TV role, he appeared as himself Sesame Street, Saturday night live, extrasand 30 rocks. He also played Bernie Madoff in HBO’s TV movie, Wizard of Lies.

Robert De Niro recently starred in David O. Russells alongside Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, John David Washington, Chris Rock, Anya Taylor-Joy and more Amsterdam. The film follows three friends – a doctor, a nurse and a lawyer – who are implicated in the mysterious murder of a retired US general and a conspiracy to overthrow the President of the United States. Based on the bestselling crime thriller by David Grann, Killer of the Flower Moon will tell the true mystery story of the Osage Indians of Oklahoma in the 1920’s who became quite wealthy after oil was discovered beneath their land. Then, one by one, the Osage began to be killed, and the ensuing spiral of conspiracy, greed, and murder became so bad that the FBI had to intervene. In addition to Robert De Niro, Killer of the Flower Moon also stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Jesse Plemons, John Lithgow, Lily Gladstone, Tantoo Cardinal, Brendan Fraser and more. The film is expected to be released next year.
