Robot survives stabbing and can walk again shortly after “torture”.

SCIENTISTS have just unveiled the creation of a Terminator-like robot capable of healing itself from injuries.

While humans have long believed they could overpower artificial intelligence, this robot shows new creations can be more powerful than previously thought.

Illinois researchers have developed a flexible, self-healing robot that bounces back up after being attacked or damaged. The day star reported.

As a result of chemical reactions, the automatic rubber sensor melts back together after cutting, according to the sales outlet.

As part of their process, the scientist stabbed the four legs of the machine one at a time.

After each sting, it reportedly recovered and started walking again.

“We really tried to torture these sensors as much as possible,” said Hedan Bai, one of the lead researchers on the Illinois project.

Scientists have begun to focus on building such droids out of softer materials, making them stronger and easier to regenerate after damage.

This healing is called “Damage Intelligence” and is believed to be a solution to the use of robots in harsh industries, as well as robotic muscles that have a chance to repair themselves should the user damage them.

Another self-regenerating robot was placed under living human skin in June, the Daily Star found.

It was called “sweat fingers” and was meant to look like a sex toy.

Professor Shoji Takeuchi, one of the scientists involved in the study, said the creation is “not only soft like real skin, but can repair itself if cut or damaged in any way”.
