Ron DeSantis mocked after ‘Buzzword Diarrhea Of The Mouth’ ranted at ‘Wake’
Florida governor Ron DeSantis (R) is being mocked on Twitter for a snippet of a speech in which he managed to use the word “woke” seven times in just over 20 seconds.
DeSantis said Wednesday in South Carolina that he was “waging a war on Awakened” in Florida.
Then, in a bizarre turn of Winston Churchill’s “We will fight on the beachesIn his 1940 speech, DeSantis listed all the locations where he will fight, “woke.”
“We fight the awakened in the schools. We fight the awakened in the legislature. We’re fighting the awakened in the corporations,” he explained. “We will never surrender to the awakened mob. In Florida, the Awakened dies.”
DeSantis critics on Twitter taunted him for the overly dramatic take — and for giving a speech about “waking up” in South Carolina while his own state was in lockdown fuel crisis:
