The Sydney Roosters lead the Warriors 8-0 at Allianz Stadium.

Jaxson Paulo scored the first try of the afternoon after a brilliant assist from James Tedesco, before a Sam Walker penalty put them ahead.

Adam Pompey ran Joseph Suaalii off the ball in a kick chase, allowing Sam Walker to score a penalty and extend the Roosters’ lead.

James Tedesco set up Jaxson Paulo for the first try of the game to put the Roosters 6-0 up early.

GAME PREVIEW

The Roosters welcome star center Joseph Manu in good time before the duel with the Warriors in the Allianz Stadium.

Manu’s return is a small relief for coach Trent Robinson, who is struggling with a mounting injury tally. The likes of Victor Radley, Matt Lodge and Jared Waerea-Hargreaves are not available.

Radley was originally named at 17 despite failing an HIA last week. He failed concussion protocols on Friday and was therefore ruled out with Naufahu Whyte replacing him at lock and Ben Thomas coming on the bench.

Manu slides back into the middle, putting Drew Hutchison on the bench and Corey Allan on reserve.

The Roosters are looking to bounce back from a shocking 28-18 loss to NRL newcomers the Dolphins last week.

It’s a stark contrast to the Warriors, who defeated the Knights 20-12 in Round 1 and will field an unchanged roster.
