Sam’s Club could soon overtake Costco thanks to drastic futuristic changes — and customers will benefit enormously

SAM’S Club could overtake its rival Costco in the future as the outlet has adopted futuristic technologies.

Store bosses have claimed the changes could benefit customers in the long term.

The retailer has therefore invested in robotic floor scrubbers To deceive.

Sam’s Club has automated this task, meaning shop floor staff can spend more time helping customers.

Todd Garner, Sam’s Club vice president of in-club product management, said, “Our autonomous scrubbers exceeded that goal. Smart scrubbers have not only increased the consistency and frequency of floor cleaning, they have also given employees important insights.”

The devices are connected to a scanner and report to employees which products are running low.

The robot collects data as it roams the warehouse floor.

Garner added, “These scrubbers help staff ensure products are for sale, priced correctly and discoverable, ultimately making it easier to engage directly with our members.”

Costco has yet to implement the technology, which means it could give Sam’s Club an edge over its storage competitor.

Sam’s Club isn’t the first retailer to integrate robotic technology into its operations.

Amazon uses the technology in its distribution centers and Starbucks also uses robots to help human employees.

Meanwhile, Sam’s Club has unveiled a new cashback program ahead of the holidays.

The store that announced Members can earn Sam’s Cash on their purchases at the buy-in bulk store and other retailers.

You can then use those dollars to pay membership fees, buy new items, or exchange them for real money.

Joining is free for existing members and signing up is easy.

Buyers can link an eligible credit card to their Sam’s account and activate the offers they wish to take advantage of.

The US Sun explained how members can earn Sam’s Cash.

However, the retailer increased its entry-level membership costs to counteract inflation.

The cost of a basic entry-level membership increased $5 from $45 to $50.

Meanwhile, the Plus membership went from $100 to $110.
