Whose departures have been reported but not officially confirmed?
The rumors of an exodus made the rounds last Friday, as Puck News reported that Bieber and Braun hadn’t spoken in months. Puck’s Matthew Belloni reported that Bieber was “looking out for a new agency or manager.”
Representatives for Bieber and Braun denied that this was true Statements on page six — but Bieber himself has remained silent.
Belloni stood behind his reporting, and five days later, People published a similar report Bieber and Braun are estranged, even if Bieber is technically “still managed by Braun.” (According to Billboard, Bieber has four years left on his management contract.)
“Justin has been working on his new album for the past six months. Scooter and SB Projects didn’t prepare a single session for this or did anything.” [new] Record,” a source told People. “The relationship with Scooter has taken its course.”
It was announced Monday that two of Braun’s other biggest stars, Lovato and Grande, are also leaving his management.

TMZ too reported that Bieber and Grande would stay with his company, although multiple sources have insisted to Variety that Bieber is determined to leave SB Projects even though his contract is still active.

Has Braun confirmed or denied these reports?

Why are there rumors about this?
At this point, the root of the rumors is not obvious.
The megamanager has a history of public controversy. Brown sparked a public feud with Taylor Swift Back in 2019 when it was revealed he had bought Big Machine Records. The reported $300 million sale included the legal rights to Swift’s first six albums.
Braun immediately got at odds with Swift’s fans when he re-shared an Instagram story. boasts that he “bought” her.
Swift also condemned the sale with an open letter on Tumblr. He accused Braun of “incessant, manipulative bullying.”

Just 17 months later, Braun sold Swift’s master recordings to a private equity firm called Shamrock Holdings. Swift said so she tried to buy them herselfbut Braun’s team required her to sign “an ironclad nondisclosure agreement” before she could even place a bid.
In March 2022, Insider’s Anna Silman published an investigation into Braun’s empirewhich addressed his strained relationship with Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) – another former client – and his complicated reputation with musicians, journalists and fellow managers.
Multiple sources told Silman that Braun’s scorched-earth tactics and his “lust for fame and power” burned bridges in the industry.
“I don’t think you can pretend to be the nice guy on social media, but you can be one of the most brutal people in the industry behind the scenes,” said one industry stakeholder. “It’s a very small company. You just don’t have any more people to screw with.”
