SCRAPPER #3 Preview Shows Image Comics’ Super Pooch Reaches New Heights (Exclusive)

After an evil global corporation kills his family, Scrapper will need every tool at his disposal to ensure what happened to him doesn’t happen to anyone else. Screen rant is proud to present an exclusive preview of the latest edition of Scrappersthe Image series, which combines science fiction action, superheroes and talking dogs.
Scrapper #3 was written by Cliff Bleszinski and Alex de Campi, drawn by Ryan Kelly and colored by Jordie Bellaire, with a cover by Juan Ferreyra. The issue begins with Scrapper recovering after being shot with tranquilizers at the end of the previous issue. His best friend Tank brought him to Daisy, a talking pink raccoon. Like Scrapper, Daisy is the result of experiments by the evil organization SMITE (Special Monopoly for Industrial Tech and Engineering). Although Scrapper wants Daisy to remove the collar around his neck, also made by SMITE, Daisy convinces him to use the collar’s extensive weapons and capabilities to overthrow the evil totalitarian regime.

Scrapper takes puppy power to a whole new level
Inspired by his love for his own dogs and the lack of canine superheroes in modern comics, Bleszinksi (best known for his work on video games like War equipment And Fourteen days) together with de Campi (Dracula motherfuckers!, Parasocial) to bring Scrapper’s story to the comics page. The series’ debut issue featured art by Sandy Jarrell (Bombs, The legendary lynx), with Kelly (Lucifer, Local) takes on line art duties and Bellaire (The Manhattan Projects, Pretty deadly) handles color art for the remainder of the six-issue miniseries. Scrapper #1 The focus is on Scrapper and Tank, who patrol the streets of New Verona, determined to rid the city of the crime and corruption that oppresses its residents. Scrapper, who doesn’t remember his life before being taken in by Vito and Rosa, the owners of an Italian restaurant. SMITE is after Vito and Rosa for not paying their bills, and while he tries in vain to protect them, Scrapper discovers that his collar allows him to perform some extraordinary feats.
So far, the collar has allowed Scrapper to transform into a ferocious monster, fire laser beams and perform incredible acrobatics. But there’s a lot more to this pup than meets the eye, as the preview shows Scrapper #3 shows him flying off with a jetpack, tying up potential enemies and grabbing objects with a powerful magnet. But even though he learns cool new skills, it’s a bittersweet moment for Scrapper. SMITE has killed the only family he has ever known, and he is horrified that this evil organization is responsible for his creation. Daisy reminds him that SMITE’s twisted genetic experiments not only created them, but wiped out their entire species as well as the world’s cats. Now Scrapper has everything he needs to make SMITE pay for the work done.
Scrappers beautifully combines the best elements of Battle angel Alita, Batman And Balto to tell the exciting story of a real underdog fighting an all-too-real enemy. This powerful pooch has already saved a young girl from drug dealers, battled robots, explored an underground world ruled by rats, and inspired an army of pigeons to attack his enemies. Now this Scrappers As he gets the hang of using his superhuman abilities, it will be exciting to see what he does in future editions of the Image Comics Series.
