Shilpa Das joins AVEX USA as VP, Head of Publishing & Label Administration

Avex USA has hired Shilpa Das as VP, Head of Publishing & Label Administration.

Based in Los Angeles, Das will oversee the administration of Avex USA Publishing and Avex USA label SELENE.

Avex USA was founded in 2020 and is led by President Naoki Osada. It is the American subsidiary of the Japanese Avex Group.

AVEX USA oversees the record label SELENE, Avex USA Publishing and its investment fund Future of Music from its Los Angeles headquarters, Avex House.

She joins Avex USA after 11 years at Reach Music Publishing, where she managed copyright administration and royalties.

The executive began her career in the music industry at eMusic, where she worked in licensing and administration.

Avex-USA label SELENE has helped break up rising artists like Sadie Jean, Austin George, Sophie Holohan and Zach Hood.

The company’s publishing division represents authors such as J. Que, Will Jay and, through its joint venture with Brandon Silverstein’s S10 Entertainment, and hitmakers such as Justin Bieber’s close collaborator HARV, Internet Money’s The Kid Larois collaborator Cxdy,

Other writers/producers are Bella Poarch’s build a bitch Co-author David Arkwright, Curtis Waters’ breathtaking Producer Declan Hoy, KOSA (the songwriter and producer behind hits with RVSSIAN, Lil Baby, Future, Bad Bunny, Travis Scott and more) and Shenseea.

In February, Avex USA partnered with Sony Music Publishing to provide worldwide (excluding Japan) maintenance services for Avex USA’s catalog and roster of songwriters and producers.
