Shrinking renewed for Season 2 of Apple TV

Apple TV has renewed Shrinking, the comedy-drama starring Jason Segel and Harrison Ford, for a second season.

Jason Segel and Harrison Ford are back for another round of therapy, as Apple TV+ did renewed shrinkage for a second season.

The comedy-drama has won raves in its first season, which is still in the middle of its ten-episode run. Co-Created by Segel, Bill Lawrence and Brett Goldstein, shrinkage follows grieving therapist Jimmy (Segel) as he begins to break the rules and tell his clients exactly what’s on his mind. Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making big, turbulent changes in people’s lives, including his own. Harrison Ford stars alongside Jason Segel as Dr. Paul Rhoades, one of Jimmy’s colleagues at the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Center who has Parkinson’s disease. Other leading roles are played by Christa Miller, Jessica Williams, Michael Urie, Luke Tennie and Lukita Maxwell.

Our own Alex Maidy was a big fan of the series. “shrinkage is a damn near perfect show I couldn’t get enough of‘ Maidy wrote in his review. “It’s funny where it needs to be funny and dramatic in all the right places. The entire cast is exceptional and I felt emotionally engaged in every episode. Shrinking is exactly the kind of show we need these days, full of quotable lines, great supporting cast and one of Harrison Ford’s best performances of all time. It’s very different from Ted Lasso, but hits the same notes differently. I doubt anyone will finish this series and have nothing good to say about it. If I have a problem with shrinkage, it’s that there wasn’t enough of it. I hope this show clicks and runs through multiple seasons so we can continue to watch these characters grow and make us cry a little but laugh even more.No doubt Maidy is excited about it shrinkage was renewed.
