Silvia Montello becomes CEO of the British Association of Independent Music

The British Association of Independent Music (AIM) has appointed Silvia Montello as its new CEO.
Montello replaces Paul Pacifico, transitioning from her previous role as CEO of the Association for Electronic Music (AFEM).
She previously held senior positions at Universal Music Group, BMG and AWAL, and startup Blokur.
She also founded the music and marketing consultancy Voicebox Consulting in 2011, which works with charities, non-profit organizations and SMEs.
Montello is Trustee of the Help Musicians charity and Chairman of the Trustees of Music Minds Matter, Help Musicians’ dedicated mental health service to the UK music community as a whole.
She sits on the Advisory Board of Moving The Needle (UK), an educational platform to support women in the record industry.\
Montello has been an AIM member for several years and currently serves on AIM’s Small Labels Committee. Previously, he was a member of the Distribution Group advising on the Digital Distribution Switch Code initiative led by AIM COO Gee Davy.
