Snoop Dogg Clarifies ‘Giving Up Smoke’ Statement, Unveils New ‘Smokeless’ Solo Stove Collaboration

Last Thursday (November 16th) Snoop Dogg left fans confused as he announced suddenly he decided to “quit smoking.” However, today (November 20), the hip-hop star clarified his intentionally misleading statement by revealing that he was not referring to marijuana, but rather a new partnership with Solo Stove.
The Drop It Like It’s Hot rhymer uploaded a video to Instagram revealing his plan from the start. “I have an announcement; I give up smoking. I know what you’re thinking: “Snoop, smoking is kind of your thing.” But I’m done with it, done with the coughing and the sticky smell of my clothes. I’m going smoke-free,” he says as the camera pans forward to reveal his latest co-signed product. “Solo Stove fixed fire. They remove the smoke. Clever.”
The brilliant advertisement ends with the 52-year-old hitmaker He roasts marshmallows on the smokeless fire and laughs, knowing he has put together another successful marketing plan.
Viewers were receptive to the playful trick, with one of the top comments under the ad reading: “I KNEW IT!!! Lmaooo ‘SMOKE’ was way too vague.” The official X Games account also agreed: “That’s a better twist than any movie has ever written.”
As expected, many people reacted with doubt and skepticism after the initial announcement last week, as Snoop’s penchant for smoking weed is well documented. One of the most popular comments referenced April Fools’ Day and said, “It’s not even April first, but are you high right now?”
However, it’s worth noting that some fans caught it early on and pointed out the use of the word. “He didn’t say ‘smoke,’ he said ‘smoke,'” one commenter repeated.
The Solo Stove official website More details on the fun partnership, as well as other add-ons and products included in the collaboration, will be revealed. “Introducing the Snoop Stove: The fire pit is hot enough to make the Doggfather smoke-free,” the statement reads. “Quantities are limited, so don’t miss your chance to shine like Snoop this holiday season. Includes a limited-edition Bonfire 2.0 laser-engraved fire pit in Ash Stand, a Going Smokeless bucket hat and a custom collab sticker pack.”
