Social Media Reacts To Rihanna’s Return To Puma And They Want Creepers – Footwear News

Rihanna and Fenty return to Puma. The sports brand’s CEO, Arne Freundt, revealed in a two-word press release today: “She’s back.”
Rihanna first teamed up with Puma in 2014 as creative director for the women’s collection, and the partnership paved the way for a collaboration under her own name, Fenty x Puma.
During her time at Puma, one of the most coveted celebrity sneaker collaborations came about with the Fenty Puma Creeper. And the fans want it back.
After Puma posted the news of Rihanna’s return on Instagram, social media users took over the comments section, calling for a Creeper comeback.
“Bring back the creepers, I was young,” wrote one user. “I’m crying I knew the story wasn’t over yet,” said another. “I FINALLY HAVE THE CREPERS OMFG.”
Rihanna’s Fenty Puma Creeper was named FN’s 2016 Shoe of the Year. The sneaker was a box office hit and found universal appeal among both men and women. It generated tremendous hype, strong worldwide sales and was seen by celebs like Cara Delevingne, The Weeknd and Gigi Hadid. The first version sold out and Puma’s website crashed. Online shopping site Lyst also revealed that the Fenty Puma style was the most searched shoe on their site at the time.
