Sofia Carson, Fan Bingbing Bring King

NEW YORK (AP) — Fan Bingbing made a royal entrance in sparkling silver and emerald green as the champagne-colored carpet heated up at Sunday’s 95th Academy Awards.

The ‘X-Men’ star wore Tony Ward couture, with her hair styled into an old Hollywood bob, as some of the men among the early walkers brought the glitz. We’re looking at you Lorenzo Zurzolo. Others, like Brendan Fraser, opted for traditional black tuxedos.

While Fan looked like a queen, Sofia Carson was a princess in white haute couture by Giambattista Valli, a stunning diamond and emerald necklace that accentuated her ball gown with its off-the-shoulder, form-fitting bodice and a delicate diamond-shaped neckline at the center. Her jewels were by Chopard, including 122.49 carats of emeralds and 92.57 carats of diamonds.

Monica Barbaro practiced her carpet walk in a two-tone Elie Saab ball gown made of deep lead and delicate blue chiffon with a long, full train.

“You were the first couture house I was loaned to, when no one knew who I was,” she told E!

Jamie Lee Curtis opted for a long-sleeved Dolce & Gabbana sparkler that was the exact color of the Oscars’ new cream carpet.

Harvey Guillen and Harry Shum Jr. made their own statements, the former in a Christian Siriano coat with a silver brocade design and full ruffle coat, and the latter in a white evening jacket with a wide sash and black trim.

Lilly Singh also wore Siriano, who saved his Oscar look after a pipe burst at his studio last week. Singh’s magenta pant look was topped with a long matching coat.
