Star Trek: Discovery comes to an end. Per diversity, the show will end with a fifth and final season in 2024, not 2023 as originally announced. The flagship show for first the streamer of CBS (CBS All Access) and then for Paramount+, discoveries The ability to outlast two streamers is not easily forgotten. That it did so while paving the way for a whole star trek Revival is even more impressive.

“I’ll never forget how it felt to stand together as a show family and rock the heirloom Trek with everyone from the franchise at large and with the fans. Fans welcomed us into their hearts when we released a new iteration of Trek and a whole entertainment platform and we will never forget it. 65 episodes later, here is the entire company from Star Trek: Discovery, to the show and its fifth and final season, to its beloved fans, and to everyone who envisions a brighter future. Naturally, Star Trek: Picard has had a rather mixed reaction but now the whole thing Next Generation is back on board, there is reason to look forward to the show again. In the meantime, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds was the rare reboot that fans clung to with enthusiasm.

Star Trek: Discovery has not aired since the fourth season of 2021. Perhaps the three-year hiatus will help deliver the final season the franchise is worthy of.
