The post Stephanie Mills claims that Michael Jackson’s desire to date a certain “type” of woman may have led to their breakup appeared first blow force.

BET shared an earlier interview with V103 in which Mills admitted that she and Jackson were dating.

“I loved Michael,” she said. “I thought I was going to be Mrs. Michael Jackson but I was ready to get married when I was 20 and 21 and he wasn’t even close to getting married or having a girlfriend at the time but yeah we were together. We were together for a while.”

The “I Feel Good All Over” singer claimed Jackson was a great kisser.

“[His kiss] was wonderful,” she added. “He was very affectionate, very loving, very sensitive. Michael was really misunderstood. To be honest, I really just think he was misunderstood because he was so sensitive.”

In a recent interview with Vlad TVMills admitted that although they were in a relationship, their career paths and outside forces may have worked to their disadvantage.

Mills claimed that although “his family really liked that they were together,” the late entertainer had bigger goals. “Michael wanted so much more, so that’s probably why we went our separate ways.”

She continued, “He wanted to be the biggest star in the world and he wanted to associate with certain people that I didn’t want to associate with. So we just went different ways … he liked and went to their houses and stuff, and I wasn’t particularly interested in going there.”

During the interview, Mills noted that despite being a superstar, Jackson had self-esteem issues, often triggered by his battle with acne.

“I spent a lot of time with him,” she says. “I was in heaven because that was Michael Jackson, who was on all the covers of Right at the magazine And ebony And jet.”

Adding that Jackson would be affected by how fans treated him for his skin issues, she explained, “He suffered from some acne conditions and he didn’t like that some fans weren’t too kind to him when they talked to him about it saw his acne.”

Mills revealed that although he spoke softly, he was “strategic.”

“Michael wasn’t a punk … he knew what he wanted, he knew how to get it,” she said. “He was very strategic in the things he did.”

She described the artist as “loving, kind, gentle and easy-going”.

The interviewer raised the issue of Jackson’s skin color changes due to vitiligo and asked if it was affecting their relationship.

Mills recalled that during this time “Michael Black was. His mother wanted him to date Black. do you know what i’m saying Being with a black girl.”

The singer revealed that although his mother wanted him to date black girls, Jackson had a different “type” of woman in mind.

“He wanted to be a certain way, you know,” she said. “He wanted to be a certain way, and he lived his life the way he wanted. He liked a certain type of woman and he thought it would be best for him and his career to be with certain types of women.”

Mills avoided claiming that Jackson was only interested in white women, but his public dating history supports the theory.

His past romances included MadonnaBrooke Shields, Tatum O’Neal and the Dead Lisa Marie Presley.

He married Presley in 1994 and divorced two years later.

That same year he married Debbie Rowe, with whom he shares his three children.

sons Michael Joseph Jackson Jr. and Prince Michael and daughter, Paris jackson.

The Grammy winner explained that she believes Jackson thought romantic connections with white women would contribute to his success as an entertainer.

“I think he felt like he would be more accepted in the world he wanted to go in, in the world he wanted to dominate,” she continued. “I think he felt like … he made himself look like what he thought … he was going to be a big star. I believe that, so he felt that it was important for him to master that world of pop music. So he decided to call himself the king of pop.”
