LAUDERHILL, FLA. (WSVN) – After an hours-long standoff, a suspect who barricaded himself inside a South Florida home has been taken into custody.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office SWAT team arrived at the home at 1410 NW 33rd Way Tuesday night.
7News’ camera captured several fire engines at the scene of the accident, as well as officers armed with long guns. A tank with a battering ram was also at the scene.
According to the BSO, VIPER investigators were attempting to serve an arrest warrant inside the house when the person inside barricaded himself and refused to come out.
Neighbors in the area have been told to remain in their homes while officers continue to process the incident.
The suspect’s identity and any charges against him were not disclosed.
