Sydney Sweeney gets romantic at Venice Festival in Armani and Miu Miu – WWD

Sydney Sweeney attended Miu Miu and Giorgio Armani events in Venice this weekend. Both coincided with the Venice International Film Festival, which began last Wednesday.

Sweeney attended Giorgio Armani’s One Night in Venice fashion show on Saturday. The Italian label presented its Spring 2023 collection Armani Privé Couture. It originally premiered in Paris earlier this year.

Sweeney’s black dress by Armani Privé featured crystallized floral embroidery at the bodice and a draped skirt. The actress wore it with a Bulgari diamond choker and studs and a matching scarf.

Stylist Molly Dickson curated Sweeney’s glamorous look. Other Dickson’s customers Sadie Sink, Kelsea Ballerini and Camila Mendes also performed in Venice this weekend.

Sweeney’s makeup for the show was created by artist Melissa Hernandez using Armani Beauty products. Hairstylist Glen Oropeza gave the actress a sleek side parting framed by loose waves.

On Sunday, Sweeney attended Miu Miu’s Women’s Tales. The annual event honors short films commissioned by the Italian label, all of which are directed by women.

Wearing a Miu Miu design for the occasion, Sweeney wore a pink polka dot midi dress with a pleated skirt and beaded embellishments at the neckline. The actress also wore a pair of silver heeled sandals and one of Miu Miu’s matelasse clutches.

The 80th annual Venice International Film Festival takes place from August 30th to September 9th in Lido, a barrier island in the Venice Lagoon. Organized by the Venice Biennale and directed by Alberto Barbera, the festival is officially recognized by the International Federation of Film Producers Association. Sofia Coppola’s Priscilla and Bradley Cooper’s Maestro are among the films selected to premiere in Venice this year.
