The AI ”time machine” reveals what Ron DeSantis looks like as a Greek warrior, punk trump and Biden, the sulking cowboy

An AI app that virtualizes historical representations of any image has shown what Ron DeSantis would look like as a Greek warrior.
Ancient Egyptian, punk rock, and wild west versions of humans float thanks MyHeritage AI time machine.
The artificial intelligence app essentially takes a stereotyped image of a person from different historical eras and times of cultural imprint.
MyHeritage is a genealogy based business, or the study of family history and genetics.
Her beginning was to allow people to create their digital family tree.
The company branched out into using AI to animate historical photos, eventually ending up letting any layperson get a glimpse of their historical self. news week reported.

The publication featured former US President Donald Trump as an ancient Greek warrior, along with current President Joe Biden, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, and US Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
The US Sun decided to do something similar, using the same people in the software to see what they might look like as punk rockers, knights, and Greek warriors.
Sarah Vanunu, PR director at MyHeritage, spoke to the outlet about why the technology used differs from that of, say, a Snapchat filter.
“The MyHeritage AI Time Machine uses text-to-image technology based on stable diffusion and licensed from Astria,” she said.
“Using a series of photos of a subject, it constructs a model that can represent the same person in a variety of poses and lighting conditions that differ from those in the original photos,” Vanunu continued.
“Then the model is synthesized using a set of predefined themes with subjects from the different themes to create photorealistic images.”
Deep learning, by things called neural network algorithms, decodes textual descriptions like ancient Egyptian or punk rocker and uses the given image to make necessary and realistic changes to complete the query.
It can scour the World Wide Web to figure out what a cowboy should look like for itself.
Still, nothing is perfect, and you might notice that some of the images fall into an eerie valley.
Creepy AI images
DALL.E 2 is another instance of AI imaging software that can make “art” out of voice suggestions.
However, the results are sometimes creepy.
Twitter user @supercomposite dubbed an image that kept popping up in his art “Loab.”
The image, something out of a horror movie, has cheeks that look infected with a rash and facial features with hints of decomposition.
No matter what the Twitter user did, they couldn’t get any result other than the chilling image.
she tweeted: “I discovered this woman I call Loab in April. The AI reproduced her more easily than most celebrities.”
“Her presence is persistent and she haunts every image she touches. CW: Have a seat. This is a true horror story and gets sharply macabre.”
As for MyHeritage, which only uses the image provided by a user, there were no horror stories, only nostalgic ones.
Vanunu explained, “A lot of people comment on the family resemblances they see between themselves and their AI images.”
Many other prominent and important political figures have also been included in the AI image creation software, so we can now see what they might have looked like in a different time.
