The family of an Irishman (61) who has been missing in London for two weeks is asking to be contacted

Police say they are increasingly concerned for the well-being of John Patrick White, who has not been seen at his north London home since Sunday August 13

Police say they are increasingly concerned for the well-being of John Patrick White, who has not been seen at his north London home since Sunday August 13.

Mr White’s family say the 61-year-old’s disappearance was atypical and have asked him to get in touch.

Investigators say Mr White “could be anywhere in the country” while they also investigate in Ireland.

Mr White’s brother William appealed for his siblings to get in touch with him in a statement released this week.

“John, we’re all worried about you,” he said.

“Whatever the issues are troubling you, we love you, we want to help and we can help.

“Please contact one of us or the police.”

Mr White, who emigrated from Ireland in 1981, spent most of his time in England, living in the Holloway and Islington areas of north London.

Mr White, who had last lived in Islington, was last seen on Sunday evening August 13.

Concerned relatives called police just before midnight on Monday, August 14, after realizing he was missing.

Officers launched an immediate inquiry and began conducting inquiries across the UK and Ireland.

Investigations have since revealed that Mr White left his home between 9pm on Sunday 13 August and 10pm on Monday 14 August.

Mr White had a signature bike with him when he went missing. The blue bike has no badges and has been spray painted.

He withdrew cash from an ATM at a post office in Newington Green on Sunday night, which was the last reported sighting of him by police.

Mr White is described as approximately 1.70 m tall, of stocky build, with grey, shaved hair and blue eyes.

He was last seen wearing a yellow t-shirt and blue jeans.

Police have appealed to the public for help as they seek to trace Mr White’s movements since he was last sighted, while also making a direct appeal to the missing man.

“Since John’s disappearance we have conducted extensive investigations and searches to locate him and we believe he could be anywhere in the country,” said Detective Inspector Adam Langley.

“Very excited to hear from anyone who knows John and has seen or heard from him since last Sunday.

“I’m also asking anyone in the Islington area who has security cameras or doorbell cameras to check their footage for sightings of John.”

“Even if you have seen his distinctive blue bicycle, which is also missing, please get in touch immediately.

“It is vitally important to establish John’s movements in the 24 hours between Sunday and Monday evening when he went missing. If you have any information, please call us urgently.”

He added: “John, please contact the police or go to a police station and tell them who you are.”

“Her family is beside themselves with concern. Please at least reach out to them and let them know you are okay and where you are.”

Anyone with information that may assist in locating Mr White is asked to contact the police on 101 or the Missing People charity on 116000 quoting 23MIS027679
