The Great gets Season 3 release date

Elle Fanning’s reign as Catherine the Great continues this spring.

This was announced by Hulu on Wednesday The great Season 3 arrives Friday May 12, with all 10 episodes dropping at once. The streamer also posted a first look photo, which you can see above.

In Season 3, Catherine from Fanning and Peter from Nicholas Hoult “try after some seemingly insurmountable problems to make their marriage work,” according to the official logline. “Peter witnessed his own attempted murder at Catherine’s hands and she locked up all his friends as well. Additionally, Peter plays the first husband of Catherine’s reign, so he’s engaged in fatherhood, hunting, and salty culinary ventures. But they’re not enough to keep him happy, as his late father’s (played by Jason Isaacs) visions of his failure as the son of Peter the Great come to mind.”

Meanwhile, “Catherine the Great begins to make a name for herself beyond her borders and, inspired by a visit from the US ambassador, sets up a conference where peasants, nobles, and merchants all have their say in the development of a new Russia can afford,” the logline continues. “She’s learning that even the best politicians sometimes have to compromise in order to move forward.”
