Thomas Tuchel wants to return to management after the ax falls

Julian Nagelsmann is expected to be released from FC Bayern Munich soon, as the German media reported on Thursday evening.

FC Bayern Munich lost the last game before the international break to Bayer Leverkusen and are one point behind Bundesliga champions Borussia Dortmund.

They are also in the quarter-finals of the Champions League where they meet Manchester City.

However, the high demands of the German super club are preparing for a change of coach, in which Tuchel is expected to be replaced by Nagelsmann.

Tuchel’s standing remains high despite his furious departure from Chelsea after falling out with the club’s owners.

Now he appears to be installed as Bayern Munich’s next boss, ending speculation linking Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp with the job at Bayern.

Nagelsmann is likely to prove a strong contender for the Tottenham transfer as manager Antonio Conte is set to retire at the end of this season, or maybe even before.
