Three clever driving tricks that make eating and drinking in the car easier

DRIVERS on TikTok shared amazing hacks that make eating and drinking in your car so much easier.

Of course, you shouldn’t eat while you’re actually driving – although a few hacks come in handy if you’re bringing home a takeaway or need a safe place to put a drink.

Keeping food warm can often be a chore, but hack number 1 is as easy as they come.

If you’re lucky enough to have heated seats in your car, simply turn the dial up to high and pop your pizza or takeaway box on the passenger seat – and it’ll still be sizzling hot when you get home .

Of course, you’ll also need something to drink, but you probably won’t find an opener to open the bottle cap.

Fear not – the second genius idea is to use the seatbelt buckle to pry off the cap and you’re good to go.

However, rear passengers may not have space to set down their own drinks. Another genius idea is to use a shoe on the seat and place the bottle there to hold it securely without tipping over.

This TikTok hack is called “Doing the Shoey,” though we’re not sure if you’re supposed to bring a spare shoe or use one you’re already wearing — so beware of passengers with smelly feet.

And of course, it should go without saying that drinking alcohol while driving is illegal and these hacks only apply to soft drinks.
