Twitch star Pokimane exposes ‘fake relationship’ leaving fans shocked by horrifying drama details

TWITCH STAR Pokimane has claimed that a streaming industry professional pretended to have a relationship with her to appeal to women in the community.

Pokimane, real name Imane Anys, shared more details in a live stream on Twitch on Wednesday, March 1st.

Twitch, owned by Amazon.com, is an American video live streaming service focused on video game live streaming.

In her video, Anys claimed that a streaming industry professional she “had worked with for years” faked a romantic and sexual relationship with her.

The unnamed person allegedly spoofed conversations on Discord to make it appear as if the two were communicating, she claimed.

“He acted like he knew and personally hung out with me and my friends,” Anys explained.

“This is someone I’ve never met, never hung out with let alone been in a relationship with,” she added.

According to Anys, the person created the deceptive screenshots to “target and manipulate girls in the community” in hopes of getting explicit content from them.

The 26-year-old streamer, who has more than 9 million followers on Twitch, was notified of the person’s actions after female streamers reached out to her manager.

“Countless screenshots and videos of her conversations with him, proving the lies and manipulation that were going on,” she said, were sent to Anys.

After selecting a target, the person would “seek romantic and sexual relationships with these girls after gaining their trust,” Anys claimed.

“He hit them, offered to fly them out, met in person, bought them gifts and asked for inappropriate photos of them,” the streamer added.

In other cases, the person allegedly threatened self-harm in order to manipulate their targets.

While Anys didn’t review all of the evidence, what she saw was enough for her to call the person’s actions “disgusting” and “regrettable.”

Accordingly yahoo news, Pokimane’s claims led to an investigation and the person being fired from their job.

Still, the streamer is frustrated that she can’t take legal action against the person.

Anys’ situation is exemplary of the sexual harassment that plagues women in the gaming and streaming industries.

Recently, however, more people have been given the opportunity to speak out about their experiences – a solid first step in addressing the bigger issues.
