Two men have been arrested after cocaine, cash and ten luxury watches were seized in raids in Galway

Two men were arrested today after searches at seven different locations
Gardaí seized cocaine and cash, cars and ten designer watches worth nearly €50,000 in raids on a County Galway criminal gang.
Two men were arrested after searches at seven different locations today as part of Operation Tara.
Allegedly cocaine worth 47,000 euros, 39,490 euros in cash and ten designer Rolex and Hublot watches were seized.
Two cars and a van (all registered in 2022) were also confiscated.

Gardai said the operation targeted drugs and organized crime in Galway and was being carried out by the Galway Divisional Drugs Unit with support from the Galway District Drug Unit, Armed Support Unit and Garda Dog Unit.
“The drugs seized are now being sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis,” Gardai said in a statement.
“Two men in their 30s were arrested in connection with this seizure. Both men are currently being held at Garda stations in Galway, one under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007 and the other under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
Investigations are still ongoing, Gardai added.
